My mom curled my hair today...neither she nor I have ever curled using a curling wand...so, now, half of my hair is wavy, and the other side is unevenly fluffy...?

I will succeed in this mysterious thing called "beauty" one day. I don't know why, but all the art aspects of beauty muddle me...maybe it's just because I don't want to try, since I don't plan on continuing with it often (painting nails...yeah, I suck...but then, I never paint my nails, so I've never had practice)
I think it may just be me, but my hair is not very curl friendly...it's probably just cuz I've never curled it before...
How long did yours stay curled? Mine only stayed for like an hour or so at guard competitions...
