I'm reading my "cracking the ap test" book, and I can't help it...I really just wanna slam my head on the table and facepalm in exasperation. You want to know what I just read? "Someone from Santa Monica, California, might say they are from Los Angeles, or simply L.A. (dude)." sigh...

And the author keeps referring to himself as "the author", and telling us random info. Like, they were talking about how some people define the south, and he's like, "the author thinks its defined by the areas where people have southern accents. He had one growing up in West Virginia..." why...
